Morgan & Travis celebrated their love with a wedding day that was as meaningful as it was elegant at The Umstead Hotel and Spa. Set against the serene backdrop of one of North Carolina’s most refined venues, their celebration beautifully blended heritage, intention, and timeless design.

A Celebration Rooted in Heritage

For Morgan, honoring her Lebanese roots was a priority from the very beginning.

“I’m half Lebanese, so it was really important to me to incorporate pieces of my heritage throughout the day.”

Throughout the celebration, thoughtful cultural elements were woven seamlessly into the experience. One of the most memorable moments was a traditional Lebanese cake cutting, performed with a sword, a powerful nod to heritage and symbolism.

Guests were also treated to kibbeh bites adorned with Lebanese flag picks, a small yet meaningful detail that sparked conversation and connection. As a final touch, loved ones departed with favors that felt both personal and purposeful: olive oil from Lebanon blended with Lebanese spices. It was a beautiful way to share a piece of Morgan’s culture with every guest.

A Gown Inspired by Tradition

Morgan’s bridal look was equally intentional.

“I wanted it to reflect what most girls in the Middle East wear.”

Her fully beaded gown shimmered with intricate detail, complemented by a stunning overskirt that elevated the look with drama and grace. The design paid homage to Middle Eastern bridal fashion while still feeling timeless and uniquely her. The result was a breathtaking balance of cultural inspiration and elegance.

The Setting: Timeless Beauty at The Umstead

With its artful interiors and lush surroundings, The Umstead provided the perfect setting for a celebration that felt both luxurious and heartfelt. The venue’s understated sophistication allowed every meaningful detail, from heritage traditions to personal touch, to shine.

Planning Advice from the Bride

When asked for her biggest piece of advice, Morgan didn’t hesitate:

“Communication is key for a smooth wedding process! There is no way I could’ve kept up with everything by myself.”

From vendor coordination to honoring cultural traditions, clear communication ensured the day unfolded seamlessly. Her insight serves as a reminder that building a strong support system is just as important as choosing the perfect venue or gown.

Morgan & Travis’ wedding was a beautiful reflection of who they are, a celebration where love and culture came together in the most magical way.
