Week after week, we feature real Raleigh weddings that capture the heart, thanks to the talented vendors and beautiful couples who invite us into their stories. Each month, our editorial team selects one celebration that stands out for its creativity, style, and unforgettable emotion.
This month, we’re honored to spotlight Brunia and Berno’s intimate spring wedding at the historic 1893 House, a day that blended European romance, cultural connection, and the kind of love that feels timeless.
A Ceremony Wrapped in Romance
Planned with intentional elegance by Amore Planning Co., this elopement was all about atmosphere. From the moment the honored guests arrived, they were swept into a storybook setting: soft drapery cascading through the space, floral arrangements that whispered spring’s arrival, and violinist Andreea filling the air with emotion.
With only Brunia’s sister-in-law and husband in attendance, the ceremony felt sacred. As Brunia descended the staircase to meet her future husband, the room held its breath. The bride’s mother, unable to attend in person, called just before the ceremony to offer a heartfelt prayer, a moment of heritage and blessing that grounded the day in love across generations.
A First Dance and a Toast to Forever
After saying “I do,” the newlyweds shared a tender first dance, champagne toast, and cake cutting, all underscored by Andreea’s violin serenade. It was an elopement filled with meaningful ritual and effortless beauty.
Captured to Perfection
The entire day was captured by Art by Court Winter, who preserved not just the visuals but the feeling of it all, from the quiet ceremony to the playful final shots, including Brunia perched joyfully on the champagne-lit bar. The photos tell a story of elegance, intimacy, and bold romance.
With planning, personal touches, and timeless imagery, Brunia and Berno’s spring wedding was proof that even the smallest guest list can hold the greatest kind of magic.
