Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across Greater Raleigh, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and lovely couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight, one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty.

For March, we’re showcasing an elegant wedding where each photo feels like it could be found in an editorial spread. Jordyne and Robert’s wedding celebrations are sure to inspire anyone looking for that old-money aesthetic with a bohemian touch!

How the Couple Met

“Jordyne and Robert had a long-distance relationship for a while, and he would always book her a room at the DoubleTree,” shares Micah, their wedding planner from Amore Planning. For anyone who has ever stayed at DoubleTree, you know they are known for their cookies. As you’ll learn, these cookies will end up being a part of their special day!

Looking through all of the stunning images captured by Porshia Hernandez Photography, you can immediately sense the deep love between Jordyne and Robert, as well as the friendship that they share. They tied the knot on 11/10/2024.

The Wedding Day

“There were so many personal touches throughout this wedding,” shares Micah. Jordyn walked through the garden to her sorority singing, a hymn traditionally sung when one of their sisters gets married. They even got to snap a group photo with all of her friends from Georgetown University.  Robert’s cousin also serenaded guests that day for a full family affair.

Knowing how important those stays at DoubleTree meant to Jordyne and Robert’s love story, Jordyne really wanted their famous cookies as a gift for their guests, so she reached out. Micah recalls:

“They actually sent not only enough cookies for their guests to take home, but 2 extra boxes for them!”

Thanks to Amore Planning, there was no shortage of gorgeous details to capture. The design was equal parts elegant and bohemian with bold touches of red, blues, and purples throughout the space. Donovan Manor’s stately grounds provide the perfect backdrop for a day fit for royalty.

As the daytime ceremony transitioned to an evening reception, Jordyne changed into a second dress, a gorgeous white beaded floor-length dress with a batwing sleeve and deep-v neckline for a bohemian silhouette. The couple danced the night a way, an evening that is sure to stick with them and everyone in attendance for years to come.
