Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across Greater Raleigh, all thanks to the incredibly talented wedding vendors and wonderful couples who share their stories with us. Each month, we select one standout celebration to highlight—one that captures our hearts with its beauty, creativity, and unforgettable details.

For this feature, we’re thrilled to spotlight Annalise Beebe and Govind Kallumkal’s October 2024 wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill. Despite unexpected challenges, this couple created a celebration filled with joy, resilience, and love.

Turning Plans Into a Celebration

Originally set to marry in Asheville, Annalise and Govind’s plans were unexpectedly derailed by Hurricane Helene. But with the help of friends, family, and a dedicated vendor team, the couple quickly pivoted to a Chapel Hill celebration that captured the true spirit of what matters most.

“After our original wedding plans were canceled, the amount of people and friends who helped us create an entirely new wedding in Chapel Hill really underlined the importance of it all,” Annalise shares. “The whole point is to celebrate our love, have fun, and be surrounded by our loved ones and the community we’ve gathered.”

The Wedding Day Details

Annalise walked down the aisle in a stunning gown from A&Bé Bridal Shop Raleigh by Chic Nostalgia, radiating soft romance and effortless style. Her bouquet and floral accents, designed by Wild Flora Florals, brought in organic, seasonal beauty that perfectly complemented the rustic-chic setting of The Barn of Chapel Hill.

Inside, Get Lit Lighting transformed the venue with warm, ambient lighting, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. Guests enjoyed beautifully crafted desserts from Edible Art Raleigh, a sweet ending to an already unforgettable evening.

Captured to Perfection

The entire celebration was beautifully captured by Catherine Turner Photography, whose images not only documented the details but also conveyed the emotion and energy of the day.

One of Annalise and Govind’s favorite memories? “We got to be guest DJs toward the end of the reception!” Annalise shares. “We had the entire room belting out HOT TO GO! by Chappell Roan and I Write Sins Not Tragedies by Panic! at the Disco.”

With thoughtful design, talented vendors, and the love of their closest people, Annalise and Govind’s Chapel Hill wedding became more than just a plan B—it became a joyful, heartfelt celebration they’ll remember forever.
