Vows that Wow

Hi! I'm Laura and my middle name is Memory!! I have been a full time wedding photographer for 10 years and I've lived all over the world including North Carolina, Miami, Italy, Sweden, and New Zealand. So yep, I LOVE to travel and am always down for a destination celebration!

My style is timeless, romantic, and cinematic, with a documentary approach that focuses on genuine moments rather than stiff posing. Before becoming a wedding photographer, I worked in sports journalism covering college athletics for UNC and ESPN, where I learned to anticipate emotion and capture fleeting, unscripted moments. That background shaped the way I photograph weddings today. I’m always watching for the real story unfolding.

I especially love incorporating 35mm film into my work because it slows everything down and captures light, color, and emotion in such a nostalgic, honest way. Film and candid moments go hand in hand for me, both are about authenticity rather than perfection. As a Latina photographer, accurate and beautiful skin tones are deeply important to me, and I’m intentional about creating images where everyone looks like their best, most natural self. Most of all, I believe love stories deserve to be celebrated and preserved, and I’m proud to photograph weddings for couples of all backgrounds, identities, and traditions.

At home I have a perfect baby daughter and incredible husband. We love dancing in the kitchen, wine and cheese picnics, breweries with friends, and our goal is to go to every National Park (we're currently at 33!).
